Description
Products Description
Is a critical tooling component used in CNC milling machines and machining centers.End Mill Tool Holder is a connection device. It is mounted into the machine's spindle at one end and is used to clamp and drive the end mill for cutting operations at the other.

Main Components and Functions
Taper Shank
Function: End Mill Tool Holder fits precisely into the matching tapered bore of the machine spindle. This taper connection (following standards like BT, CAT, or HSK) provides extremely high concentricity (ensuring an accurate axis of rotation) and powerful rigidity, guaranteeing efficient transfer of power.
Pull Stud (or Retention Knob)
Function: This is crucial for the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) system. During a tool change, the machine's robotic arm grips this pull stud. An internal mechanism in the spindle then pulls the holder in, locking it securely in place and preventing it from coming loose during operation.
Tool Holding Mechanism
Function: It grips the shank of the end mill with extremely high force and precision, ensuring the tool does not slip or move during high-speed rotation and under heavy cutting forces.
V-Flange
Function: This is the surface grasped by the ATC arm during tool changes. It also acts as the gripping point and a positive stop when the holder is pulled into the spindle.

Common Types of End Mill Tool Holders
1.Collet Chuck Holder:The most common type, such as the ER collet system.
2.Set Screw Holder (or Weldon Holder):Uses one or more set screws on the side of the holder that tighten against a flat ground on the tool's shank (a "Weldon flat").
3.Heat-Shrink Holder:Operates on the principle of thermal expansion and contraction. The holder's front end is heated to expand, the tool is inserted, and as it cools, the holder shrinks to grip the tool with tremendous uniform force.
4.Hydraulic Holder:Contains hydraulic fluid inside. Tightening a single screw increases the internal pressure, causing a bladder to expand and clamp the tool uniformly.
